How to fix holes in mosquito screens

Mosquito screens are essential to keep insects out of the house, but sometimes, little holes form in them. Insects then start coming in and cause trouble indoors.

You want to solve the problem without replacing your mosquito net completely? Here are three ways to do that:

  • You can use transparent nail polish. It's simple: straighten up the damaged threads of the mesh, and then apply a small quantity of nail polish. Before it dries up, poke a little hole with a toothpick.
  • You can also sew the mesh back with sewing thread. Tie a knot, and you're done!
  • To repair bigger holes, cut what you need in unused pieces of mosquito screen. Then, use sewing thread to fix the patch.
